FFFS 2020:9

Regulations and general guidelines regarding reporting by foreign credit institutions for significant branches in Sweden

In force from 2020-10-01

Summary

The regulations require credit institutions within the EEA to report to Finansinspektionen certain information about their significant branches in Sweden. This information is related to the parts that are relevant for branches with regard to financial information (FINREP) and information about own funds and capital requirements (COREP).

The significant branches could have a major impact on financial stability. The objective of the regulations is to provide FI with insight into the branches' financial situation. This will help FI carry out its assignment of safeguarding financial stability.

The regulations are supplemented with general guidelines for how the institutions should report the information. The general guidelines refer to instructions that are found on FI's website.

Amendments

The amendment entails that the reference in section 2 to the information a credit institution must provide has been updated to the current implementing regulation on technical standards for an institution's supervisory reporting.

The amendment enters into force on 1 January 2025. Amendment 2024:18
