Summary
FI is repealing Finansinspektionen's regulations (FFFS 2014:33) regarding the countercyclical buffer rate. FI must calculate a countercyclical buffer guide each quarter and, if needed, set or adjust a countercyclical buffer rate (Chapter 7, section 1, first paragraph of the Capital Buffers At (2014:966).) To date, FI has announced decisions passed about the buffer rate through its regulations on the countercyclical buffer rate.
The reason the regulations are now being repealed is that FI from now on will set or adjust the countercyclical buffer rate through individual decisions that will be published on its website.
The regulations will be repealed as of 15 October 2021. Amendment 2021:32
