Summary
These regulations repeal Finansinspektionen's regulations (FFFS 2016:14) regarding the obligation of some financial firms to submit information for balance sheet statistics. The scope is expanded to include risk and development capital companies in addition to captive financial institutions and money lenders (investment firms). This is clarified through the information that these undertakings shall submit to the official statistics on the financial market and when and how they shall submit this information. Statistics Sweden also receives express regulatory support to gather the information. According to the regulations, all undertakings covered by these regulations shall submit somewhat more limited data than they did previously. The regulations enter into force on 1 April 2024 at the same time as the FinBAST regulations are repealed.
