The EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) regulates, among other things, how Swedish fund management companies, insurance companies, and financial advisors must inform their investors and customers on sustainability factors (ESG factors).
Under the regulation, which entered into force in March 2021, some types of financial market participants are required to disclose certain sustainability information on their website and in information provided prior to entering into agreements.
The regulation in turn will be supplemented with delegated regulations that will specify the information that is to be disclosed and how the disclosures should be made public.
