The regulations refer to the EUR rate on the last day of October that are published every year in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Published EUR rates

Amendments

The amendments entail that the regulations only apply to the application of the Insurance Business Act (1982:713), which is applied to mutual benefit societies pursuant to the Insurance Business (Implementation) Act (2010:2044). In addition, the heading is also changed to Finansinspektionen's regulations on the EUR rate for mutual benefit societies.

The amendments enter into force on 1 November 2020. Amendment 2020:23

The regulations have been amended to be applicable even when applying the Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Act and the regulations FI issues pursuant to the Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Ordinance.

The Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Act contains a number of provisions where amounts are specified in EUR. Finansinspektionen thus prescribes how an amount in the Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Act that is specified in EUR should be converted to SEK.

The rules enter into force on 1 January 2020. Amendment 2019:27
