Summary
Finansinspektionen is introducing new regulations on periodic reporting of data on the minimum requirement for own funds and eligible liabilities (MREL). According to the regulations, firms that have received a decision from the Swedish National Debt Office that they must meet a minimum requirement on own funds and eligible liabilities shall regularly report data to Finansinspektionen about how they are meeting this requirement.
These reporting regulations shall be applied for the first time to reporting relating to the balance sheet date of 30 June 2019.
The regulations enter into force on 15 June 2019.
