Finansinspektionen’s regulations regarding the EUR rate in the area of insurance

Summary
Finansinspektionen has decided on new regulations that shall apply instead of FFFS 2015:22 on the EUR rate in the area of insurance.
The amendments entail that the regulations no longer apply to mutual benefit societies.
The regulations state the EUR rate for the area of insurance. This rate is used to recalculate amounts that are stated in EUR in regulations that apply to the area of insurance. The regulations refer to the EUR rate on the last day of October that is published every year in the Official Journal of the European Union.
These regulations enter into force from 1 November 2020.
Published EUR rates
- For reporting for the periods 2021-12-31 to 2022-12-30, EUR 1 corresponds to SEK 9.9368 for translations as of 31 December 2021 (EUT 2021/C 446/04, 3 November 2021).
- For reporting for periods 2020-12-31 to 2021-12-30, EUR 1 corresponds to SEK 10.3650 for translations as of 31 December 2020 (EUT 2020/C 369/05, 3 November 2020).
