Finansinspektionen (FI) har fått kännedom om att personer som säger sig representera Truist Financial Corporation (clone)/ Truist Bank/ Truist Investment Services Inc (clone)/ Truist Advisory Services Inc (clone) / GFO Advisory Services LLC (clone)/ Truist Securities (clone) erbjuder svenska investerare handel med värdepapper.
När någon på falska grunder utnyttjar ett etablerat företags varumärke betecknas det "clone" i internationella sammanhang, det vill säga som ett klonat företag.

Truist Financial Corporation (clone)/ Truist Bank/ Truist Investment Services Inc (clone)/ Truist Advisory Services Inc (clone) / GFO Advisory Services LLC (clone)/ Truist Securities (clone) har inte tillstånd från FI att driva värdepappersrörelse eller annan finansiell verksamhet i Sverige och står alltså inte under FI:s tillsyn. Någon gränsöverskridande verksamhet för Truist Financial Corporation (clone)/ Truist Bank/ Truist Investment Services Inc (clone)/ Truist Advisory Services Inc (clone) / GFO Advisory Services LLC (clone)/ Truist Securities (clone) har heller inte anmälts till FI från något annat EES-land.
